IKEAFANS 4.0 is on the way!

2008 is bringing many exciting changes to IKEAFANS. We've been working hard on IKEAFANS 4.0 and we're almost ready to reveal it to you! Watch for our Sneak Peek in the upper right corner of your screen!


IKEAFANS 4.0 will feature:

• Faster page load times
• Improved article system
• Streamlined blogs (Blog owners, please see: Heads up for Bloggers)
• Better forum organization
• Tags for threads and tag search
• Photo tagging system
• Private Professionals forum, plus additional benefits for pros
• Premium content and workbooks!

In the meantime, please note that we will be implementing some incremental changes in order to reduce the total amount of downtime during our upgrade which will take approximately 12 hours. We anticipate being OFFLINE from 10pm (Eastern) Wednesday, August 13 until 10am on Thursday, August 14th. NEW DATE/TIME TBD The scheduled downtime is subject to change or extension at any time.

TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!

Tonight at 10pm Eastern, IKEAFANS 3.0 will disappear to be replaced by IKEAFANS 4.0 when we re-launch tomorrow morning. We anticipate that by 10am, we'll be back online, bright, shiny and new!

Some of the advanced features that are part of IKEAFANS 4.0 will come online in the weeks to come, so be on the lookout!

Looks like the new version's working.....so far, so good.

We still have lots of work to do, but we managed to get the bulk of the required stuff for the upgrade done in just over 13 hours.

Wow! I came back after a power outage and the place is completely refurbished! It looks great!

Thanks Anne! YOu must have had a long power outage! I hope all is well there.

We went down on Friday night at 10pm and came back up Saturday morning about 11am. 1 hour over our projected time, so not bad all in all - at least we're getting better at estimating the amount of time we'll need!

We still have lots of clean up to do and new features that will roll separately over the next few weeks. There was JUST TOO MUCH to do all at once. Slowly, but surely, we'll get it done...
