bed332004 transformed an old tired builder's grade kitchen from dreary to bright and cheery. An addition created an 18'x14' space and added space for a kitchen table with a combination of chairs and benches, many windows and a french door for access to a new deck.

Bill's plans included a 15" pullout pantry framing the refrigerator with a 15" refrigerator cabinet above. The space between the tops of the cabinets and the ceilings (approx. 6") was left open. On either side of the stainless hood, a glass front horizontal cabinet is hung, followed by a corner wall cabinet. 30" uppers were used, and a set of 39" wall cabinets forms the raised portion of the central island. A variety of base cabinets were used to suit specific needs in the kitchen.

Elements used were Adel Birch cabinets, Peacock Green Granite, Benjamin Moore's Camoflauge on the walls and Benjamin Moore White Dove on the trim and beadboard.

All appliances except the microwave are Maytag in the Stainless finish. The cabinet-depth microwave is GE. Bill used both granite and Numerar butcherblock countertops on the 2 level island and created division between rooms with 2 columns and another 2 level island.
