Mykitchen's Adel Medium Brown Kitchen is a much needed improvement over the old tired white kitchen.
Thought I'd finally post the before and afters of my now 1 year old kitchen remodel....before:
A year later the only thing that I changed as we lived with it was in the pantry (to the right of the fridge). It was 2' deep and for some reason we had it installed with shelves. Three months later (and lots of missing food later) we swapped those out for pull out drawers - huge improvement.
The counter is Antique Brown granite, and the backsplash is botticino tumbled marble mosaic. The paint is Lauren's Lace -CIL. The handles are from Lee Valley Tools, and the rest is IKEA. The profiled cornice piece at the top of the cabinets is actually the decor molding that is sold with the Adel MB - we laid it on it's side and staggered two pieces to achieve that look. There is a close-up of it in the Modifications section on this site.
Strangely, I've ended up doing most of my prep work on the counter to the left of the fridge, unless I have company - in which case it's the island. And although there is a table to the left of this picture, we almost always eat at the island which has stools down two sides. |
